My name is Dale Grooms and I have been doing carpentry work of one kind or another since I was 16 years old. I always liked working with wood. I also enjoyed drinking a few beers after work, which in time led to drinking every day, to the point that I couldn’t go without it.
After a few run-ins with the law and my life headed toward a downward spiral, I called out to God and surrendered my life to Him. I admitted my need for a Savior, and - believing that Jesus was born, crucified, and raised to life after 3 days, paying the penalty for my sins - I asked Christ into my heart on July 25, 1988, and have chosen to live a clean and sober life with His help since that day.
Today I am into living for the Lord, my family, hunting, and woodworking. I am constantly amazed by God’s grace and consider myself blessed with a devoted wife who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself (we will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in 2026), two incredible adult children (a daughter in 1990 and a son in 1993), one fine son-in-law, two precious granddaughters, the love and support of both my parents and both my in-laws, and so much more.
To God be the glory!
